A Call to Support Education in Karene District
In 2020, a vision of hope became a reality when WYCF, with the generous support of the Wegdam Foundation and its founder, Brian Wegdam, built the first Primary School in Kamabonko village, Sella Limba Chiefdom, Karene District. Before this, children in the region had to travel long distances in search of education, often facing hardships that made learning inaccessible.
Today, this school stands as a beacon of opportunity, providing education to over 394 children from 17 surrounding villages. Among them are 211 boys and 183 girls, eager to learn and build a better future for themselves and their communities. However, the journey is far from over.
To sustain and expand this impact, we need your support. With your help, we can provide essential learning materials, improve facilities, and ensure that every child has access to quality education. Whether through donations, school supplies, mentorship, or volunteering, your contribution can make a life-changing difference.
